Choose an LED-strip system by its documented components, then check the business selling it. A brand list alone cannot establish color quality, electrical safety or compatibility. This shortlist separates factory-facing businesses from brands and sales channels; it gives no ranks and does not certify any product. Ross Light is an independent information site, not a strip seller or manufacturer.
First write a model-level buying record
Record the application, location, strip voltage, run length, power per unit length, intended CCT, color requirements, driver and control method. Ask the seller to identify the exact models and provide the relevant documents. If a listing describes several options, make the quoted variant unambiguous before comparing it with another offer.
China manufacturer-facing sources
Rows are alphabetical and describe the linked public pages, checked on October 23, 2026. A manufacturer’s description of its role is not independent proof of the factory or capability for your order.
| Name and public source | Location or service geography | Publicly described scope | Check for your order |
|---|---|---|---|
| Derun | China manufacturer description; confirm the supplying factory | Low- and high-voltage strip categories | Confirm which voltage family the quoted model belongs to. |
| Elstar | China manufacturer description; confirm contracting address | SMD, COB and color-changing strips, profiles and accessories | Request the exact strip and power-supply model documentation. |
| LEDYi | China manufacturer description; confirm factory for the order | Single-color, tunable-white, RGB and other strip families | Distinguish electrical voltage, control protocol and advertised CCT. |
| Lightstec | China manufacturer description; confirm production location | LED strips, aluminium profiles and lighting accessories | Specify the channel and diffuser as part of the sample. |
| SignliteLED | China manufacturer description; confirm responsible entity | SMD, COB, neon and control-related lighting products | Match the emitter construction and controller to the model. |
For this group, ask which operations occur in-house, which parts are bought in and whether the sample construction will remain fixed for production. Request photographs or an audit tied to the relevant facility if manufacturing identity matters. Do not turn a website’s lifetime or capacity claim into an acceptance criterion without supporting evidence.
Brands, retailers and distribution channels
These businesses can be useful purchasing routes, but the storefront does not establish the manufacturing country or factory for every item. Alphabetical order again carries no recommendation.
| Name and public source | Location or service geography | Publicly described scope | Check for your order |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1000Bulbs | United States retailer | Multi-brand residential and commercial lighting | Identify the actual maker and model, not only the storefront. |
| Flexfire | US-market lighting brand and sales channel; confirm seller address | Strip lights, controls, drivers and channels | Ask which components are included in the quoted system. |
| Super Bright LEDs | US-market lighting sales channel; confirm fulfilment location | Strip, residential, commercial and vehicle lighting categories | Do not transfer a vehicle-product specification to a room installation. |
| Waveform | US-market lighting brand and sales channel; confirm seller address | Lighting for residential, film, artwork and other applications | Ask for color data for the selected application and exact model. |
For this group, verify product availability, return conditions, replacement support and who handles a system-level compatibility problem. Confirm whether a kit includes only tape or also a suitable power supply, controller, wiring and mounting profile. A complete-looking product photo may show optional parts.
Check four claims independently
| Claim | Useful evidence | Common shortcut to avoid |
|---|---|---|
| Color quality | CCT and color-rendering data for the quoted model and output setting | Treating a Kelvin number as CRI |
| Electrical specification | Voltage, power, polarity, run limits and matching driver instructions | Mixing strip and driver families |
| LED construction | Exact emitter or COB construction and model datasheet | Assuming an SMD package number establishes performance |
| Certification | Applicable standard, certificate or listing reference and model match | Accepting a logo as proof for an entire kit |
Use the certification body’s own lookup when a listing is claimed. UL Product iQ is a verification route for UL-related product information; search access and the evidence available depend on the record. A component listing does not automatically cover a finished installation. Ask a qualified installer to establish applicable local requirements for the assembled system.
For CCT and output terminology, the ENERGY STAR downlight criteria show why those characteristics are separate. They are not a certification statement about the strip brands in this article.
Compare the sample, quotation and replacement plan
Test the intended combination of strip, driver, controller, channel and diffuser before buying the full run. Keep its model references, selected settings and permitted substitutes in writing. If a supplier changes the power density or construction, review the changed system rather than treating the same brand name as an equivalent specification.
Calculate the load from the quoted power per unit length and your actual run. Then check the maker’s margins, temperature limits and feed arrangement. Consider access to drivers and connectors and whether a later replacement can match the existing visible light. Those decisions matter more than the number of names in a directory.
